GESTATIONAL DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM ASSISTANT
Position Summary
It will be the responsibility of the Gestational Diabetes Prevention Program Assistant to work closely alongside the Coordinator and aid in coordinating front line worker training and administrative duties.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in coordinating the Gestational Diabetes Prevention Program and front line worker training events across Ontario.
- Fulfill administrative duties as required and any other requests from the Gestational Diabetes Prevention Program Coordinator.
- Responsible for the preparation of the Gestational Wellness Tool Kit.
- Able to lift and transport large and small resources.
- Assist with travel bookings, catering orders and expense claims.
- Represent IDHC at all functions in a professional manner and with respect to our mission statement and values.
- Report to Gestational Diabetes Coordinator and ED/PD.

Salary Range: to be determined based on experience
Employment Period/Status: To begin immediately – March 31, 2018
Supervision: The Gestational Diabetes Prevention Program Assistant will be under the supervision of Gestational Diabetes Prevention Program Coordinator and report directly to the Coordinator and ED/PD.
Qualifications:
- Minimum relevant college or university degree, with two- (2) years’ work and/or related experience.
- Established and proven record as a dependable and competent person.
- Working knowledge of office technology, using a laptop computer for word processing and communications.
- Knowledge of Indigenous organizations.
- Co-operative, conscientious, and reliable, with strong skills in planning and work organization.
- Able to travel with valid driver’s license.
Location: IDHC Head Office 3250 Schmon Pkwy Unit 1B, Thorold, ON
