            CIRCLE OF CARE PROGRAM ADMINISTATOR NORTH

Position Summary

The Circle of Care Program Administrator will work closely with the Coordinator to plan, deliver, and follow up with community based foot care events. The administrator will network with diabetes education programs, foot care event hosts, service providers, clinicians, Indigenous practitioners and program partners.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in coordinating and implementing IDHC Foot Care events throughout Northern Ontario
  • Share educational information and resources on diabetes and foot care to Indigenous communities and individuals
  • Assist the Circle of Care Coordinator in registering practitioners into the program
  • Update and edit the program resource directory with new contacts and health service providers
  • Assist Circle of Care Coordinator in processing foot care treatment subsidies and updating clinic information, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Assist Circle of Care Coordinator in data entry for all outreach and client services
  • Performing administrative duties
  • Process resource orders and maintain resource stockpile
  • Process payables; budget tracking
  • Represent IDHC at all functions in a professional manner and with respect to our mandate, mission statement and values
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be designated by the Circle of Care Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • University/College Degree and/or 2+ years’ relevant work experience
  • Established and proven record as a dependable and competent person
  • Working knowledge of office technology, using a laptop computer for word processing and communications
  • Knowledge of Indigenous organizations in Northern Ontario
  • Knowledge of, or background in Indigenous health, diabetes and foot care an asset
  • Knowledge of Indigenous communities and culture; language considered an asset
  • Co-operative, conscientious, and reliable, with strong skills in planning and work organization
  • Able to travel and have a valid drivers’ license
  • Must be able to lift and transport large display boards and resources

Salary Range: to be determined based on experience

Employment Period/Status:  To begin immediately – March 31st, 2018 contract position

Supervision: The Northern Circle of Care Administrator will be under the supervision of Circle of Care Coordinator and the ED/PD.
