Fish are a wonderful health option for us to eat, and we need to protect our lakes and rivers as much as we can so future generations can enjoy the health and wellness they provide.
With that in mind, please keep an eye open for this invasive species of carp as we begin our late summer and fall fishing season. Asian Carp are a invasive species of fish and can very quickly take over a lakes ecosystem. Several Asian Carp have been caught recently in Lake Erie near Point Pelee. The Ministry of Natural Resources asks that anyone who catches an Asian species of carp to contact them immediately.
