Young Diabetes Research Study

McGill University Health Centre is recruiting young Canadians (ages 14-24) with Type 1 Diabetes for a study.  They would like to gather feedback (via a 20 minute long online questionnaire) on how youth living with type 1 diabetes feel they are being judged by others due to their disease.   The goal of the study is to find better ways to help these individuals cope with their disease.

Participants will complete a 20 – minute online questionnaire and receive a $10 gift card from Amazon.ca

7 Generations Gestational Diabetes Prevention Program

SOADI would like to reintroduce Georgia Baum with her new title 7 Generations Gestational Diabetes Prevention Program coordinator as well as introduce her assistant, Krista Ruthven. This team is excited to take on the task of educating and creating awareness regarding Gestational Diabetes for the Indigenous families they affect and continuously promoting healthy lifestyle choices throughout the entirety of the pregnancy process and beyond.
